Noni juice from noni juice concentrate

The exotic noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia) is not called the “fruit of the gods” for nothing. It contains 800 times more enzymes than pineapple, almost all important vital substances from A to zinc, as well as valuable secondary plant substances, all of which potentiate each other's effects. Folk medicine attributes extreme antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, fungicidal (against fungi), liver-protecting, cholesterol-lowering, immune-boosting, and blood sugar-regulating properties to the noni fruit, primarily due to its irodoid content. Since noni also has a balancing effect on the diameter of blood vessels—especially in the brain—headaches and migraines subside more quickly with regular consumption of the juice. NOBUSAN supplements the concentrated power of the noni fruit in its NONI XTRA PLUS OPC juice with grape seed extract, which has an incomparably high OPC content.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C

While most other mammals can produce vitamin C from glucose themselves, humans are dependent on an external supply. However, since the antioxidant cell-protecting vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is mainly found in fruit and vegetables, it is easy to become deficient in it during a hectic working day. Often, there is simply not enough time to cook a vegetable dish every day and always have fresh fruit in stock – not to mention the fact that many of us are simply not used to vitamin-rich foods and are more likely to reach for a quick pasta dish or snacks than apples, peppers, etc. Vitamin C performs essential tasks in the body, such as immune defense and detoxification, the formation of bones, connective tissue, and dentin (the “hard” part of the tooth under the enamel), and the utilization of other vital substances in the body, such as iron and carnitine. Smoking, stress, and chronic illnesses increase the need for vitamin C many times over.

Vitamin C is found in fruits and fruit preparations that are particularly rich in vitamin C (especially sea buckthorn, acerola, berries and citrus fruits, local apples, elderberries) as well as fresh vegetables (especially peppers, Brussels sprouts, sauerkraut). Anything that is not served raw should be prepared gently, e.g., steamed briefly with a little water. The produce should come from organic farming if possible, should not have been stored for long periods, and should not have traveled long distances. This ensures that their vitamin content is at its highest. If, for whatever reason, it is difficult to maintain a diet with a high proportion of fresh foods, be sure to supplement any vitamin C deficiency with appropriate dietary supplements, e.g., from NOBUSAN.

Symptoms of vitamin C deficiency include frequent infections, bleeding gums and loose teeth, fatigue, poor wound healing, and a tendency toward mood swings and even depression. *The scientific name for vitamin C – “ascorbic acid” – actually derives from the notorious sailors' disease scurvy, which was caused by vitamin C deficiency on long voyages and manifested itself in hair and tooth loss.

Folic acid (vitamin B9)

Folic acid (vitamin B9)

Most people know folic acid or vitamin B9 as the typical “fertility and pregnancy vitamin” – but it is important for much more than just cell division processes. To be precise, it is not even a vitamin, but a coenzyme and, as such, is involved in a variety of biochemical reactions such as blood formation; It also protects against arteriosclerosis. Folic acid deficiency is one of the most widespread deficiency symptoms, which is probably due, among other things, to the fact that it loses much of its effectiveness through exposure to light, heat, and long storage of our food. Supplementation with vital substance preparations such as those from NOBUSAN is therefore advisable for almost everyone, but especially during pregnancy and breastfeeding, when taking certain medications (laxatives, antiepileptics, cytostatics, antimalarials), with high alcohol consumption, and gastrointestinal diseases.

Folic acid is found in whole grain products, egg yolks, vegetables (cabbage, spinach, fennel, pumpkin, mushrooms, avocado), legumes, wheat germ, yeast (flakes), and nuts.

Symptoms of folic acid deficiency include changes in the mucous membranes in the mouth (e.g., burning sensation on the tongue), diarrhea, seemingly unexplained loss of appetite, and nausea, and can even lead to pathological changes in the blood count. If a woman does not consume enough folic acid during pregnancy, this can lead to malformations in the unborn child (neural tube defect).

Iodine

Iodine

Many of us are familiar with iodine primarily as an additive to table salt. In fact, iodized salt (always add after cooking!) is a good—and for vegetarians and vegans, the only—way to supply the body with this essential trace element. It is mainly stored in the thyroid gland and helps it to function properly. Iodine deficiency can develop quite quickly in areas far from the sea if sea fish is not a regular part of the diet; this is because the soil in our region tends to be low in iodine and the food that grows on it therefore also has a low iodine content. Women should ensure they have an adequate iodine intake, especially during pregnancy, because a deficiency can be passed on to the fetus and lead to serious malformations (cretinism). If you often feel sluggish and listless, gain weight without eating excessively, look “puffy,” and frequently experience a tightness in your throat, you should have your iodine levels tested. Otherwise, supplementation of this trace element is almost always recommended; products from the NOBUSAN family, for example, are suitable for this purpose. Iodine is found in sea fish, (edible) algae, and iodized table salt.

Symptoms of iodine deficiency include a slowed metabolism (unexplained weight gain, lethargy, feeling of heaviness), flaky, dry skin, constipation, susceptibility to cold and infections, and, in cases of prolonged deficiency, a so-called “goiter” (enlarged thyroid gland in the neck).

Cranberry Extrakt

Cranberry Extrakt

Cranberries are rich in natural antioxidants and help prevent mouth, stomach, and urinary tract infections.

Blueberry extract

Blueberry extract

Folk medicine loves blueberries, also known as bilberries or bilberry. Not only do these small, deep blue fruits taste wonderful, but their fruit acids, fiber, tannins, and pectins also make them traditional aids for the stomach and intestines: when dried, they combat diarrhea, and when fresh, they regulate digestion. The juice inhibits inflammation both internally and externally. Blueberries are also a veritable “eye fruit” because they contain important precursors of vitamin A and anthocyanosides in their blue-violet pigment. These antioxidants protect against free radicals and keep the smallest blood vessels, known as capillaries, supple – ensuring good blood circulation in the eyes. Blueberry extract is therefore even recommended as a supportive treatment for serious eye diseases such as age-related macular degeneration. The ingredients in blueberries improve vision, help with night blindness, and relieve eye strain from activities such as working at a computer screen, reading large amounts of text, and watching television. These are fabulous properties that NOBUSAN naturally makes use of in some of its products!

Granatapfel-Extrakt

Granatapfel-Extrakt

The juicy, sweet, little red seeds of the “fruit of the gods” (Punica granatum) not only taste heavenly, but are also packed with health benefits. They contain large amounts of antioxidant polyphenols, flavonoids, tannins, vitamin C, potassium, and vitamin B5. Recent studies even show that pomegranate extract has an effect on breast and prostate cancer metastases that warrants further research, which is mainly attributed to secondary plant substances such as ellagic acid and luteolin. The anti-inflammatory effect of the juice has been definitively proven.

Quince Extract

Quince Extract

Quince (Cydonia oblonga) can be used to make delicious jelly, but it also has real healing powers. The slightly elongated fruit with its woolly skin resembles an apple or pear in shape. It is also rich in vitamin C, pectin, tannins, and zinc. The seeds are particularly valued in folk medicine, but the fruit and leaves are also used. Good to know: Quince has expectorant and anti-inflammatory properties and is therefore helpful for colds, sore throats, and coughs, as well as inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases. It promotes blood formation, has a diuretic effect, and stimulates excretion. And thanks to its astringent effect, quince also has a positive effect on wound healing when applied externally. A true all-rounder! NOBUSAN makes use of its many beneficial properties in several ways.

Acai extract

Acai extract

Acai provides the highest antioxidant protection of all known natural substances with an ORAC value *1 (Oxygen Radical Absorbing Capacity) of over 100,000. Compared to acai, the ORAC values for mangosteen juice, for example, are 17,000 and for pomegranates only 3,100.

*1 (1 ORAC describes the antioxidant efficiency)

Acerola

Acerola

It's incredibly sour—and incredibly healthy! The acerola cherry began its campaign as a vitamin C miracle a few years ago and is now an integral part of many nutritional supplements. And for good reason! With up to 25% optimally bioavailable vitamin C, the acerola cherry is the uncrowned queen of health-promoting fruits. The fact that it contains not only huge amounts of vitamin C but also vitamins A, B1, B3, B6, iron, phosphorus, calcium, and even fluoride makes it all the more valuable in NOBUSAN products.

Grapeseed Extract

Grapeseed Extract

Grapes are known to be very healthy. Even the small, bitter-tasting grape seeds contain many beneficial substances. They contain OPC, an antioxidant discovered in 1948 by French scientist Jack Masquelier. It has powerful antioxidant properties, protecting cells from free radicals, strengthening the immune system, preventing cardiovascular problems, positively affecting cholesterol levels, and supporting all healing processes. Grape seed extract can therefore be described as a natural beauty and anti-aging remedy, as it also supports connective tissue and keeps the skin elastic, which can reduce the formation of wrinkles. If you don't want to eat grape seeds, it is best to take dietary supplements containing grape seed extract. CAUTION: People with a grape allergy should not use grape seed extract. If you are taking blood-thinning medication, you should consult your doctor before using the extract.
